
Dr. Hettinger is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 20 years of experience in behavioral health. She brings extensive expertise in both direct clinical care and clinical leadership, and currently serves as Clinical Operations Manager at Tiny Steps.
Dr. Hettinger specializes in the assessment and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. She works with individuals across the lifespan, from young children to adults, and is known for a collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based approach.
Her integrative therapeutic style incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed strategies, Somatic work, Mindfulness-Based techniques, Trauma-Informed Care, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems, and Parent Coaching. Dr. Hettinger supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions.
Dr. Hettinger earned her Doctorate in Psychology from California Southern University and holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from Florida State University. With a strong foundation in family dynamics and individualized treatment planning, she is passionate about creating personalized care plans that support meaningful growth and long-term well-being.
