Meet Angela, a dedicated and passionate Clinical Psychology doctoral student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she is currently pursuing her PsyD, with an anticipated graduation in 2026. Angela's journey in psychology began at California State University, Los Angeles, where she earned her BA in Psychology, graduating Cum Laude. During her academic tenure, she also pursued a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, showcasing her multifaceted talents and commitment to both mental health and the arts.
Angela has been recognized for her academic achievements through various scholarships, including the Gordon and Florence Thom Memorial Scholarship and the William Hobson and Evelyn Trou for Psychology Scholarship. Her dedication to psychological research is evident in her scholarly contributions, such as her involvement in studies exploring the therapeutic benefits of pets during the COVID-19 pandemic and the intersection of music and memory. Additionally, Angela's work as a Clinical Trainee at Creating Families Together has allowed her to directly impact the lives of children and families, offering therapeutic services and support to young children.
Beyond her academic and clinical pursuits, Angela is deeply committed to community service. She has actively contributed to outreach programs like the Karen Bass Halloween and Christmas Community Outreach events for LAUSD students and has been instrumental in facilitating workshops for the Student Empowerment Girls and Boys Conferences. Angela also extended her support internationally, empowering young girls in Ghana by providing essential supplies to foster a brighter future.
