Meet Sarah Liang, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor dedicated to fostering healthy relationships and empowering individuals within the culturally diverse AAPI community. Sarah works under the direct supervision of seasoned professionals, Dalia Frank, LMFT, and Neda Safvati, Psy.D.
Sarah earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Denver and pursued a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University. Sarah's journey into the marriage and family therapy field was ignited by her transformative Couples and Relationships course. This experience fueled her commitment to aiding individuals in cultivating positive relationships with themselves and their loved ones.
Sarah acquired her clinical experience as a trainee at Airport Marina Counseling Services, as well as at OPICA Adult Daycare Center. During her two-year practicum experience, Sarah gained a diverse experience working with a wide age range of adults with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, ADHD, life transitions and more.
Being a member of the AAPI community, Sarah recognized the need for enhanced mental health support and the importance of representation in the field. Her dedication led her to create a non-judgmental and culturally-informed therapeutic space for clients. Sarah employs a collaborative approach tailored to each client's unique needs, meeting them where they are in their journey. Her goal is to provide a supportive and empowering environment for individuals seeking mental health services.
